RE: Direct TV hookup questions

unlike the cable connection or park connection, that is usually split in the camper with an outlet in the bedroom and one in the front room. sat. cannot be easily split. You should have a dual LNB with two cables. One for each of the tv's, if you have two. My camper came with only one sat connection on the back and it only goes the the front room. why they did not put one in for the rear, i don't know. i added the second one so my sat cables hook to the two rear sat connections.

RE: Use of Amorall

used it on my cars as well, left a nice shine, but for UV protection you need something like aerospace 303.

RE: Driving from Ontario to Florida

Never had any problems on 75. Georgia does have a good amount of patrols, but as long as you are in the limit, your ok.

RE: Going South In December

Been traveling south from Cleveland for a few years now, and i find having taken 77 and 75 many times i prefer 75. its wider and has many more services at exits. 75 is only about 90 miles longer to my west coast fla. camp. but i average about 4 mph faster on the average over the years, so the time seems about the same. I try to hit Atalanta on a Sat. or Sunday, because i am by myself and the driving is easier. as for the weather i leave in a week.

RE: Closing up for the season - our first time!

I assume know the basic winterization with the pink antifreeze. I used brass pot cleaners to plug any holes (around any electrical or plumbing holes) Also make sure to blow out the water from the city water connection, empty the hot water tank. I used moth balls around the bottom of the trailer. Some of the people cover some dont. In freezing weather inspect the roof and patch any cracks. water can get in then freeze and make the crack bigger. I kept my first camper north for 5 years without covering with no problems. but did do a roof inspection and patch each year. clean fridge and leave door open. leave window cracked just a little with a vent (if you have a cover) cracked to keep some airflow.

RE: Winter storing

My KZ was outside for 4 years, just antifreeze the system. And in the spring check the roof caulking for any cracks. other than that no problem. never covered it in winter.

RE: Rear Tail lights and running lights not working

check the ground on each light. bad ground = no lights need both hot to the light and a good ground.

RE: Reese Dual Cam questions

I think they should stay on the same side and wear in. They can get noisy at low speed. How much wear, i dont know. im on about 12,000 miles, and they seem fine. I always want to use vaseline, but have not done so. It seems they are noisy at the start of a trip and then settle out. pics are on my site of my set up.

I use a program called "Network Magic" to connect not only my printer but files. Seems easy to use.

RE: fresh water holding tank

Are you filling to capacity? If so it will loose water on the roll of the road. Also it can siphon water when some of starts to flow the rest will follow. Is the water loss intermittent or continuous after it starts? I will loose some water when i fill to capacity. .

RE: coach-net?????

they have special interest groups, but all the coverage is the same. they have 3 levels. does not seem to be any advantage to be a member of one of the special groups. But I have never used the service, do a search and you will find a great deal on this. ang

RE: QUESTIONS BEFITTING A NEWBY

I have been using my hoses for more than 3 years. I full time and dont do much when the hoses are in use, except pour some bleach around the connections each month. When going to a new campground i spray the water connection with a bleach solution (dont know where the last persons hands have been). If i dont use my hoses for a while, I also then put a 5% bleach solution though them before putting them back into use. Like I said now on 3+ years same hoses, no problems.

RE: Bright LED Signs...

I agree I have found them to be distracting, some change and particularly at dusk just jump out, and can be a safety hazard, when they attract your attention. I find them to be very disturbing.

RE: Awning problem

You can replace the end assembly. It has springs note this warning on the web site for replacement... Warning: Before attempting this, readers should be aware of the need to be very careful with the awning springs to avoid serious injury. It is strongly advised that you have help from a second person. You should also follow the awning manufacturer's instructions. awning replacement clicky
